Santorum talks marriage during bus tour
Source: Cedar Rapids Gazette

Santorum shared his pro-life, pro-traditional marriage views with the audience.

The presidential candidate relates a healthy, traditional family life to a healthy economy.

“Families and children do better when you have stable, one man, one woman relationship and if that institution of marriage is broken down, the family break down and the economy breaks down. It’s just harder,” Santorum said.A few silent protesters showed up to oppose Santorum’s stance.

They held signs with messages of support for gay marriage.

The ABC affiliate (KCRG) was going on about this during their 5pm newscast. I had to bite my tongue to keep from making several crude remarks regarding Santorum as my mom was in the room.

5. I'd rather NOT think about it too much
Because if I did I'd be spending a lot of time leaning over one of these;

4. I see he is blaming newt and the leader of the republican party,
rush, for the breakdown of the family and the breakdown of the economy

When asked for facts to back his claims he was heard to say, 'Because the bible tells me so'.

6. His statement is pretty bold, but it needs a tweak.
Here, I fixed it:

“Working families and children do better when you have stable democratic relationship among the people, and if that institution of equal rights is broken down by electing Republicans, the nation breaks down and the economy breaks down. It’s just harder."

I guess the solution would be to outlaw Republicans? Maybe a Constitutional amendment or something.

7. Somebody better ask Rick about those man-on-dog marriages going on in MA, NY,
other states w/same sex marriage on the books.

11. Or if the sky has fallen, if anything unusual is raining out of the sky, or...
...if rampaging hordes of small furry animals are running around eating everything in sight!

8. My mom's the one making the crude remarks, LOL!
In our house, I always know when a Republican is on the teevee machine. You know those neo-CONS try the patience of Christ, when a nice, little 70+ lady hears them talk and starts yelling, "God damn you insane bastards, how much f***ing money do you sons of bitches NEED?!?"

I, on the other hand, prefer to inform people of what Republicans really mean when they talk. For instance:

"Santorum shared his woman-hating views with the audience.

The presidential candidate tries to bullshit people into thinking that hating gay people makes for a healthy economy.

'Families and children do better when women are slaves to men, and if gay people are allowed to come out of the closet, I'm jealous as hell because I secretly want to be one of them, and the economy breaks down. It’s just harder,' Santorum said."

9. The operative phrase being... "it's just harder."
Every fucking time one of these weirdos repeats this mantra it brings to mind "methinks you doth protest too much."
