Source: thestar.com

OTTAWA—Canada is pointedly warning Ukraine that the imprisonment of a former prime minister could have “serious consequences” on relations between the two countries.

And in a personal letter to Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych, Harper said he is deeply concerned by the “apparent political motivation” behind Tymoshenko’s trial.

2. Ukraine is (again) experiencing rolling blackouts thanks in part to her
Not that Yanikovich is clean, but the deal that she likely got a kickback for is robbing their energy budget of needed dollars and, as usual, the people are paying for it.

She got her millions through corruption and she is all about power and money.

5. Things are changing. I remember when the US used to issue warnings & objections . . .

To countries clear around the world, to countries who had nothing to do with us.

Canada's star is rising.

8. lol, sorry best I could do before bed.
Really though I have a sinking feeling living here in Canada. Its leadership does not share the values that I grew up believing in.

9. In the US, I've had that experience for more than 30 years.

May you have relief quicker.

Economically, your country has a lot going for it though, and global warming might turn out to be a blessing for it.

10. Maybe that's why we're doing the Tarsands Tango with America
Our standing as a country has really taken a hit over that whole project, not just the pipeline. And deservedly so.

11. I just heard tonight on the news
that the 1% here in Canada has 40% of the wealth, higher than most countries. Poverty is rampant, the local food bank had to take out a mortgage for the first time ever on its property in order to feed people over Christmas because donations are so down. Economically, we are broke other than the filthy stinking tar sand desecration of Alberta.

12. Sounds to me like Canada's doing great.

It should tell you what things are like here. It's economic outlook is better in the long-term than the US, I think.
