Shiite gunmen, British troops clash in Basra
"...NAJAF, Iraq - Gunmen loyal to radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr rampaged through Basra and another southern Iraq city, attacking British patrols and government buildings a day after an al-Sadr aide offered worshippers money for capturing or killing coalition soldiers...."

Now we get to find out how much worse it can get. This is only the beginning, I fear. Thanks Donald, thanks Lynndie.

1. Now, be fair!
Don't forget to thank George W. And Dick. And Condi. And Paul Wolfowitz.

I agree -- this is just the beginning.

Perhaps with the disclosure of the photos of Abu Ghraib, Americans may begin to comprehend the profound anger that fuels Iraqi violence against the Coalition.

Americans have become considerably less safe, and will be targetted more than ever. And we don't have enough friends left in the world who will care when we are killed and maimed.

The Iraqis, and Muslims worldwide, now possess their irrefutable "Rodney King" video. Bush Americans can no longer deny what they have been up to. Their motives and methods have been exposed.

Bush has completely obliterated American moral prestige and leadership. All we have left now is brute force and economic power, and repression at home.

How much you wanna bet that far more people are cheering the Iraqis on now in incidents like this, and who are not troubled by casualties suffered by Coalition forces? It's a horror.

2. I've got such a bad feeling about this.

I wouldn't take that bet. I think the whole world is holding it's breath, waiting for November.

3. Problem
Can we/they wait for November? They have no choice, we do.
