'Lost' missiles litter Russian highway
Edited on Sun May-16-04 09:33 AM by dArKeR
Moscow - More than 200 anti-aircraft missiles have been found alongside a major highway in Russia's Far East, the ITAR-TASS news agency reported on Sunday quoting military officials.

There was no immediate explanation as to how the missiles, which fit a 57-millimeter launcher, ended up at a fork of a busy highway close to the town of Nakhodka.

1. Cool
I wish the US hadn't ditched the plan to help Russia clean up and dismantle its arsenal. But * decided it was "too expensive".

Typical repuke bullshit. Money is more important than people.

I wonder who's going to get to that proverbial goldmine first... and who do they use it on, after that? :scared:

5. I think you may be being unfair to the Repukes

It's not that they dont want to spend the money.

More weapons in the world creates the demand for more weapons by others to counteract/oppose/counterbalanace them.

The arms industry is self=perpetuating and, almost uniquely, unsatiatable

They're just trying to keep demand up for their 'clients'

6. only nuclear?
I thought we were only helping them dismantle their nuclear arsenal. Anyone know if that's true?

Hmm... even so, there's enough *conventional* weaponry laying around in Russia to make it a terrorist's wet dream.

4. These are the ones that couldn't fit into the 2 20 foot
containers as the terrorists took possession from the Russian mafia.
