U.S. Military Sets Abuse Arraignments for May 19
~snip~
Those to be arraigned are Staff Sergeant Ivan "Chip" Frederick, Sergeant Javal Davis and Corporal Charles Graner. All face multiple charges at general courts martial.

Specialist Jeremy Sivits will appear before a less severe special court martial, which can impose a one-year sentence at most. He faces two counts of maltreating detainees and one each of conspiracy to maltreat and dereliction of duty.

He is accused of taking many of the now notorious photographs of laughing soldiers sexually humiliating naked Iraqi inmates at Abu Ghraib prison just outside Baghdad.

U.S. newspapers which published statements by Sivits blaming some of his co-accused for the abuse and denying that officers were aware of it said Sivits was expected to plead guilty.
