DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A tornado cut a path through northwestern Iowa on Friday night, causing heavy damage in two small towns. State officials said 10 people were injured.

(snip)

"I was out at the farm and listened to the scanner and they reported tornadoes going toward Bradgate," Mayor Martin Brown said. "I heard the Humboldt County sheriff calling for an ambulance. He said his leg was broke and the town was destroyed. We got here and he was right. It was destroyed."

"What I've seen so far, there was three (houses) destroyed completely. Of 42 homes, 30 of them have major damage, I mean major damage."

Ambulances from surrounding counties were sent to the scene, but a statement issued by Humboldt County sheriff's officials said most of the injuries were cuts and bruises and broken bones.

The title says, "no one hurt," and the article says, "State officials said 10 people were injured."

that's journalism

7. I meant that no one was killed by the Iowa tornado.
All those other deaths were not related to that tornado.

sheesh.

8. I can see why they changed it
How the hell is a village levelled, yet no one was hurt. How can you type that out and make plans to publish it - as news, and not see how unrealistic it is? How do you write news copy and cue cards with phrases that make no sense. Its getting worse by the day.

9. I hate to sound parochial but...............
Could it also have been a hamlet or Bantu stand they were describing.

It could not have been a town, we have already passed into third world status here in the good ole USA
