Bush's Iraq Policy to Come Under Fire at Summit
GUADALAJARA, Mexico (Reuters) - The United States' occupation of Iraq (news - web sites) will come under fire at a summit of European and Latin American leaders on Friday but they will pledge more action in the fight against terrorism.

The U.S.-led war was firmly opposed across much of Europe and Latin America, and the mounting violence in Iraq has many leaders fearing the situation is spinning out of control.

President Bush (news - web sites)'s attempts to rally support for his Iraq strategy have been seriously undermined by the photographs and video tapes of American soldiers abusing and humiliating Iraqi prisoners.

snip

The buzzword of the Guadalajara meeting will be "multilateralism," diplomatic code for criticism of Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq without U.N. backing.

1. I still don't get it - why is the World not more outraged with this war ?
.
.
.

Iraq HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TERRORISM!!!

Yet the US has succeeded in murdering tens of thousands, and poisoning a whole country with Uranium as the world watched.

I cannot forgive the US for this genocide

It IS Genocide, very slow mind you, but the Depleted Uranium that the US has been using since 1991 after a worldwide ban for sixty years is nothing else than genocide.

In total, even if the US stopped today, the deaths from spreading this Depleted Uranium around the East will make Hitler look like a beginner.

And why should we be surprised,

the Bush family took lessons from the Hitler Regime 3 generations ago

- clik on Prescott Bush below to check it out -

2. Oh, I think the world
Decided quite some time ago to allow Bush to fall into his own trap. We are all naive to think that the world can control the hyper power USA. It is not possible in conventional terms....so perhaps the next best option is to allow them to fail - for the war to cost them where it hurts the most - the pocketbook, and above all, to not "donate" funds or troops or knowledge in support of an illegal war.

Now, there are many nations, so poor, so desperate, they will support the US in an effort to gain "favor" with the white house.

Look - the UN failed holding back Bush. Nato failed in holding back Bush. France, Germany, Russia, China, Canada, and many many others all tried to persuade Bush on a different course of action. None of it mattered then and it does not matter now. The only way to open White house ears is for there to be a different administration OR for the current administration to fail so completely, so utterly that it would jepardize the very soul of the US. That is what is happening now. Bush desperately wants to gain international help now - but it is too late. He will NEVER get the help he seeks, not from the UN, nor from any of the above mentioned nations. This is now his war to lose. I weep for the US military put in a intractable situation. I weep for all the dead. But, if I were an leader of a nation, the only way I would put troops or money into Iraq, would be if the US totally and utterly left Iraq.
