U.S. revises terror deaths; They double
As seen on The Blue Lemur, http://bluelemur.com

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Bush administration on Tuesday will say terrorism killed 625 people in 2003, more than double the 307 deaths it cited in a faulty report used to argue it is winning the war on terrorism, a U.S. official said.

The revisions to the April "Patterns of Global Terrorism" report have embarrassed the Bush administration and dented its argument that Washington is prevailing in the war on terrorism, a key part of President Bush's re-election strategy.

1. Even with the revised higher number
for every person killed by terrorism last year 23 people were killed by drunk drivers. Why aren't we spending 23 times as much to keep drunks off the road as we are spending in Iraq?

And why is it that people are not 23 times more frightened of drunks than they are of terrorists? They should be!

2. Mosquito-borne illnesses kill more than a MILLION people each year.

I would guess that no attention is paid to this because it is most victims are dark-skinned.

3. Still a lie, because it doesn't include soldiers killed.
Which is absurd, since they are the frontliners on the War on Terrah.

4. And the contractors and all the Iraqis
What do you want to bet that contractors killed and all the Iraqis who've died are considered "combat" and, therefore, not terrorism?

8. Why should a terrorism count include soldiers?
Soldiers are combatants by definition.

6. The True Number Should Be Well Over 10K
Bush-boy himself murdered over 10K Iraqi civilians when he ordered the invasion of a sovereign country, thereby terrorizing millions of its citizens.

That is terrorism to the nth degree.

7. That wasn't terrorism...
that was "Shock & Awe!" </sarcasm>

I still haven't figured out how the two are any different, though...
