Two Pakistani men taken into custody at Sea-TacSEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF and NEWS SERVICES
Federal agents are seeking possible links between two Pakistani men taken into custody at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Saturday after one of their names showed up on a terrorism watch list.
The men approached separate airlines and each purchased a one-way ticket to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport with cash, according to federal criminal justice sources. Both the use of cash and the purchase of a one-way ticket fit profiles used to identify possible terrorists.
"The two individuals are being held on immigration charges right now," Michael Milne, a spokesman for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Wednesday. "We're looking at how they entered the country. Sometime in the near future they'll be scheduled for an immigration hearing."
