Four US Marines (killed) in Iraqi Operation
http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200407/s1148503.htm

at least they're reporting this--although they can't bring themselves to use the word "killed" in the headline! symptomatic of the media's self-imposed "blackout" of US deaths since the "handover." No wonder idiot talking heads think things are going swell now

2. "Four US marines in Iraqi operation" is not a sentence
they're missing a verb, like 'killed'

5. Pretty sure it's *another* four Marines
Four more United States marines have been killed in action in Iraq's restive Al-Anbar province, the US military said, taking its death toll in the region to 14 in just over one week.

...

On Monday, two marines were killed in action and one died later from wounds received during an operation in the area.

Just this morning, the count was 10 in the last week. :(

8. Everytime I read that link with all the dead soldiers...
it enfuriates me to beyond belief. Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Wolfie and Blair will all rought in hell for this. When they were these guys age and a war was going on they had quote, "better things to do". Nothing more than armchair warriors and cowards.

major sights I visit each day.

(Do you think Bernsen can comprehend reality? Or is it possible Satan has sent millions of disciples to Earth? Not just the ones in the White House.)

By Julian Borger
THE GUARDIAN , Fort Lauderdale, Florida

No matter what happens in Iraq, and no matter what the US economy does between now and the presidential election, Randy Bernsen will be voting for President George W. Bush. It will be an act of faith.

Religious faith will be at the heart of the presidential election in November. About a quarter of the electorate are white evangelical Protestants, like Bernsen. They represent the most powerful single bloc in US politics, one that is more engaged in the battle this year than at any time since the moral majority brought out the vote for the late president Ronald Reagan.

In fact, the sense of loyalty is even deeper now. Reagan was seen as an ally. In Bush, the evangelicals recognize one of their own. He talks their language. Their defining belief in salvation and redemption is personified in his decision to turn away from alcohol, nearly 20 years ago, and be "born again" in the faith.

Bernsen and his kind are the most dangerous people on Earth because they don't use their brains. Do you think God respects a person who seeks knowledge, judges facts objectively, listens to all points of views... or a person who blindly follows another person. Especially when there is enough evidence which points to the man may well be the Son of Satan.

18. Wow lunaville says 992 total coalition deaths...
Only 8 more until we hit 1000. I wonder if the media can tear themselves away from attacking Edwards to report it when it happens?

RIP guys.

10. I guess another house in Fallujah will be blown up in retaliation
Expect it within the next 24 hours. Four thousand pounds of explosive were used last time (4 500 pound bombs and 2 1000 pound bombs), so the ante will probably be raised somewhat.

12. No news is good news
I just fired off a furious email to CNN, not that it will do any good. No news of any American casualties on CNN.com. Mustn't upset the supporters of bush's Arabian Adventure.

Fuckers. They should be ashamed.

15. 644?
The actual total is almost 900 but they have started putting in this lower number. A marine from this area was wounded and shipped to the US where he died. I believe they are not counting men like this. If they don't die on the battle field I guess they don't count. What an out and out lie. Shame on the press. But then we have come to expect very little from our cowardly press.

The media is doing a great job of helping the junta to keep the deaths and maimings very quiet.
