Senate RollVote Lawsuits (It Failed)

The 44-43 roll call by which the Senate voted to defeat a motion to proceed with a bill to change procedures for class-action lawsuits. Sixty votes were needed to approve the motion.

On this vote, a "yes" vote was a vote to cut off debate and proceed with the bill and a "no" vote was a vote to defeat that motion.

Voting "yes" were 2 Democrats and 42 Republicans.

Voting "no" were 39 Democrats 3 Republicans and 1 independent.
