"Inappropriate" for world court to rule on West Bank barrier: White House
ALLENTOWN, United States (AFP) - The White House said that it was "inappropriate" for the world court to issue a ruling on Israel's West Bank barrier.

"We do not believe that that's the appropriate forum to resolve what is a political issue," White House spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters en route to a campaign event by US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) in Pennsylvania.

"This is an issue that needs to -- that should be resolved through the process that has been put in place, specifically, the roadmap" to Middle East peace, McClellan said.

"We've also expressed our views very clearly to the government of Israel and continue to talk to the government of Israel about these issues," he added. "You know, we certainly recognize the need for Israel to defend itself and protect the people of Israel.

"It's also important that as they take measures to do that, that they allow for the Palestinian people to be able to move freely within that region."

"inappropriate". Too bad they can't see how inappropriate they are to come out with statements like this. :wtf:

So the administration gets to decide whatever is appropriate for the rest of the world, but they have no right to tell us anything...like not to preemptively attack a sovereign nation.

I didn't hear anyone talk about invading Israel to "free the Palestinians from tyranny".

What hypocrites!:eyes:

4. What the F
And it is "appropriate" for our jackhole president to whine to the EU about admitting Turkey?

At least this is the WORLD Court. Our brilliant leader sticks his nose in regional affairs.

Lord, I do not understand why we continue to play the fool for Israel.

5. political non-interferance
Oh, I get it. There is no oil in Israel or Palestine, so we should stay out of their human rights battle. Iraq, now that is another story.

6. bush* defends THE WALL....this should scare America BIG TIME

certainly, bush* has his own plans for us American citizens too....

this goes in concert (oops, was that 'concertina') with bush* Warsaw getto approach to Fallujah...

it won't be long, before the starved, dying, bombed out Iraqis come BEGGING for a few scraps and a slave-labor job in the American OIL and Chemical Industries of Iraq....

bush* learned it all from his grandpa...prescott bush*....make money by enslaving others and WORK THEM TO DEATH...that's why Auschwitz was developed (with prescott's financing) in the pre-emptively-attacked Poland, as hitler stole their natural resources in the Silician coal/iron area....prescott bush* was COVICTED of
"Trading with the Enemy - HITLER" during World War II....but he didn't care....

7. You can see why bush and his henchmen don't like International
Courts, they can't be threatened, bullied and lied to! It is ludicrous, in the extreme, to attack a country by saying that country was not adhering to the decisions of a world body (UN) and yet say another equally accredited world body(International Court of Justice) should not render any opinion, never mind a decision.

Scum, they are, simply and irrevocably, scum.

9. Oh....the "Roadmap to Peace"
Golly, whatever happened to that? Oh, that's right. A small distraction in Iraq made George forget where he put the roadmap.

10. pot meet kettle once again
I am surprised that the pot and the kettle aren't using the same toothbrush.

It was "inappropriate" for the USSC to become involved in the 2000 Presidential Election in this country.

If these pukes want to talk about "appropriate" - let's have that debate.

:grr:
