PM and spies at war over Iraq report
http://news.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=793832004

Sun 11 Jul 2004

OPEN warfare erupted between Tony Blair and the UK?s intelligence community last night over who should shoulder the blame for inaccurate information on Weapons of Mass Destruction that helped lead Britain into war against Iraq.

In a bid to deflect criticism over intelligence failings expected to be contained in this week?s Butler Report, the Prime Minister has ordered a massive overhaul of the way Britain?s spies gather information on WMDs.

A new spy centre dedicated to identifying and assessing the risk posed by illegally-held WMDs is to be set up in the UK in an attempt to ensure that the intelligence failings that preceded the Iraq war are never repeated.

<snip>

But there are mounting indications that the intelligence community has no intention of taking the blame for overstating the threat posed by Saddam.

Evidence from two former intelligence officers, to be broadcast in a BBC documentary tonight, suggests ministers were aware of the poor quality of intelligence from Iraq.

Let the fun begin. This could get ugly.

2. 20 years and counting?

Iraq had them for 20 years or better. Terrorists have been operating for at least that long. Iraq never gave WMD to terrorists. The terrorists who hit us were educated, some lived here... were trained to fly here... some on military bases... and used plane tickets and box cutters to do their deed. I think George and Tony had better do the math and see just how stupid they both appear to the world.

Shame on Saddam for taking the Euro for their oil in 2000. Last nail in his coffin it was.... last nail.

The Real But Unspoken
Reasons For The Iraq War
Although completely suppressed in the U.S. media, the answer to the Iraq enigma is simple yet shocking - it an an oil CURRENCY war. The Real Reason for this upcoming war is this administration's goal of preventing further OPEC momentum towards the euro as an oil transaction currency standard. However, in order to pre-empt OPEC, they need to gain geo-strategic control of Iraq along with its 2nd largest proven oil reserves. This lengthy essay will discuss the macroeconomics of the "petro-dollar" and the unpublicized but real threat to U.S. economic hegemony from the euro as an alternative oil transaction currency.

3. Here's to ugliness!
Go ahead, piss off the spooks. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Keep blaming them and, out of nowhere, you'll have a hundred Deep Throats eager for revenge.
