Senegalese editor jailed
Dakar - Senegalese media on Saturday denounced the arrest a day earlier of the editor of one of the west African state's main daily newspapers, saying it was a scare tactic by President Abdoulaye Wade to muzzle the press.

Madiambal Diagne, the managing editor of Le Quotidien, was detained on Friday and charged with publishing confidential reports and correspondence, false information and news "which could cause serious political problems".

Non-state-owned newspapers in Dakar responded by printing the same joint editorial on Saturday to oppose Wade's "witch hunt against journalists".

In America the Bush/Murdoch Crime Families do something worse! They fire you and blacklist you since they all all the media corporations.
