Blair Gets Butler [Iraq Intel.] Report Tomorrow; Made Public Wednesday

By Jon Smith, Political Editor, PA News

Lord Butler is to present the Government with the final version of his report into the use of intelligence in the Iraq war on Tuesday, Downing Street said today.

The former Cabinet Secretary will then publish his long-awaited document at a press conference on Wednesday, with Prime Minister Tony Blair expected to make a Commons statement to MPs at 12.30pm.

Opposition parties have been invited by No 10 to view the report in strict secrecy from 6am on Wednesday, in arrangements similar to those made for the publication of the Hutton Report into the death of weapons expert Dr David Kelly.

No time has yet been announced for Lord Butler’s press conference publishing the report, but No 10 said the aim would be to give MPs time to read it before Mr Blair’s statement in the House.

2. Dunno...
But, if it's good for Poodle, it'll be leaked into the press on Wed morning, just like Hutton

3. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that
the report was going to be much harsher on Blair than on Bush.
Blair will be in deep doo-doo...I hope. Anyway it's a happy thought! :)
