Cheney: Kerry Backtracking on Iraq War
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040712/ap_on_el_pr/cheney

Vice President Dick Cheney said Monday that Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry and his running mate, John Edwards, are trying to backtrack on their support of the war in Iraq.

Kerry and Edwards reviewed the same prewar intelligence on Iraq that was given to President Bush, and both supported the decision to go to war, Cheney said. Last week, a Senate panel determined that intelligence was flawed.

"Now it seems they've both developed a convenient case of campaign amnesia," Cheney said during a $500-per-plate breakfast fund-raiser for a Republican congressional candidate.

He said the Democratic senators "are criticizing the president for looking at the same information that they did and coming to the same conclusion that they did. If the president was right, and he was, then they are simply trying to rewrite history for their own political purposes."

2. This is the same Cheney that is still claiming that Iraq has WMDs
and that they are hidden somewhere.

Cheney has less credibility than Tony Blair, and that's pretty bad in my book.

3. sigh. stupid cheney. the pukes try to rewrite history to pretend that
the Dems are rewriting history, and all the while they claim that saddam still has weapons hidden somewhere and everything they claimed about Iraq is still true. and the Dems always say the same thing, in the face of all of this madness, that the president and vice president overstated the cause for the invasion, that they misrepresented the facts, that they presented the information in such a way that the Congresspeople were manipulated.

and bush and cheney keep pretending that they don't hear it... and keep pretending that the weapons still exist... hoping upon hope that their subterfuge of lies will hold just long enough for the election....

but bush will never ever be elected. and neither will cheney. they will be ousted, never having been legitimate. fakes. frauds. liars. manipulators who emptied the treasury into the pockets of the military industrial complex, the energy companies, the airlines, and their cronies.

4. Except, of course, that Kerry didn't order the CIA to produce the evidence
And Bush and/or Cheney did. So it's more likely that Bush would know it was false than that Kerry would.

Besides, that's not an accurate description of Kerry's view on the war, though Edwards was a bit more gung-ho.

5. Why is this a front page news story? Where are the Kerry front pagers?
The media is out of control.

Every insult that Bush or Cheney throw at Kerry gets reported as a major news story.

Almost everything Kerry says is ignored.

6. and Cheney said"probably"
when asked if he had more information about the links between Iraq and Al Queda then the commission is reporting, which has made the 911 commission livid, since Cheney has repeatedely said that his office has "cooperated fully" with the commission

7. Who was the one who promised on national TV to the American public
to go back to the UN Security Council to get a vote on whether or not to continue the UN inspections or immediately go to war...and then BACKTRACKED and chickened-out, fearing a UN vote that might be unfavorable?

The freakin' ManChimp of course!
