Big blast rocks centre of Baghdad (BBC breaking news)
A powerful blast has rocked the centre of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Smoke was seen rising near the entrance to the closed-off area known as the Green Zone.

It is where the US and British embassies and the offices of the Iraqi authorities are located.

There is so far no word on any casualties in the explosion, believed caused by a car bomb - gunfire was heard after the blast.

4. Massive blast rocks central Baghdad - MSWHORE
Heavy smoke rises from Green zone, no casualties reported
BREAKING NEWS
The Associated Press
Updated: 1:39 a.m. ET July 14, 2004

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A massive explosion rocked central Baghdad on Wednesday on the outskirts of the so-called Green zone.

Black smoke rose above the area. The area was once the headquarters of the U.S. occupation authorities, but now houses the U.S. and British Embassies. There was no immediate word on casualties.

On Tuesday, insurgents clashed with an Iraq National Guard patrol in the northern city of Mosul, killing one soldier and injuring nine, authorities said.

Two guerrillas hiding in an alley opened up on the passing patrol in Mosul, 250 miles north of Baghdad.

8. Look at soldier 2nd from left. Doesn't look like a combat soldier.
I think this man should NOT be in combat. A desk job OK. It doesn't look like he has his equipment on correctly. It doesn't look like he's holding his rifle properly. His vest looks strange and on wrong. It doesn't look like his shirt is buttoned properly. He's walking a little funny, like his legs are a little too wide for running. He looks like he belongs home in America doing National Guard duty at a desk job and can go to his loving family each day!

ALL REPUBLICANS ARE IMMORAL COWARDS. YOU GO TO IRAQ AND BRING THESE BOYS HOME THEY DON'T BELONG THERE!
