Alcohol shops targeted in Baghdad
http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/1A2A2140-9BB4-45DC-8C06-63913285939C.htm

<snip>

At least seven alcohol shops have been bombed or shot at in the Iraqi capital in the past two days, shop owners and witnesses have said.

The attacks are the latest in a wave of suspected religion-backed violence against alcohol sellers.

There were no reported injuries in the latest string of attacks, but many of the shops were destroyed beyond recognition, shop owners said.

They said at least four shops were bombed overnight between Wednesday and Thursday in an eastern area of the Baghdad, while three others were attacked early Wednesday morning in another eastern district of the city

If Iraq ends up with a goverment which forces its religious views upon all, then Georgie has truly failed.

6. This has been going on since the beginning of this criminal war.
Under Saddam, only Christians could sell alcohol. Since the beginning, there have been assassinations and bombings against the Christians in Iraq, kidnappings also. If one wants to get picky, the Christians have been the target of bombings and assassinations prior to the war in the Kurdish controlled N Iraq. The no-fly zones took power away from Saddam and created conditions allowing Islamic extremists to operate within the country. So the bush* madministration isn't entirely incorrect when they state there is a connection with Iraq and terrorists, they just failed to mention that the terrorist are not linked to Saddam.
