Report: Kerry's concert during DNC could take place after all
There could still be a pop concert in Boston during the Democratic convention after all.

WCVB-TV is reporting this evening that efforts are underway to have the concert held on the UMass/Boston campus on Wednesday, July 28.

The concert planners still need approval of a permit before it can firm up final plans.

The concert would be sponsored by the Kerry for President and Democratic National committees.

WBZ-Radio News, meanwhile, had reported earlier this afternoon that a source had said the concert would be held at the university campus overlooking Dorchester Bay and next to the Kennedy Library.

Originally the concert had been scheduled for the 28th on the Charles River Esplanade, but citing security reasons the state declined to grant a permit for that event.

Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to see that the campaign's able to work this out after Kerry had put some importance on it.
