US demands closure of major Cape Town road
Traffic chaos is looming with the National Ports Authority agreeing to United States demands to close Duncan Road in the harbour to general traffic from early next year.

The closure is required in terms of international anti-terrorism security measures demanded by the United States in the wake of the September 11 attacks and is backed by the International Maritime Organisation, a United Nations body.
