JonBenet overshadows important primary races for state House
http://www.freep.com/news/statewire/sw101165_20040717.htm

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- A handful of state representatives are facing tough primary challenges this summer, but the races are being overshadowed by the 8-year-old murder of child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey.

His daughter's unsolved crime has been a major factor in John Ramsey's campaign for a seat in the Michigan House that represents the counties of Antrim, Charlevoix, Otsego and part of Cheboygan County.

Ramsey often talks about his daughter in his bid to beat out five other Republicans vying for the 105th House District in the primary election. Her murder is even mentioned on his campaign literature.

now that is really disgusting :puke:

1. Unanswered questions about family involvement
in her murder should keep him out of office.

2. How could anyone vote for that guy?
If he was a Dem running in my district there's no way I'd take the chance of voting for someone who may be involved in his won child's murder. No way.

3. John Ramsey and the money that bought Hal Haldon & Lin Wood
are disgusting.

John Ramsey should be in prison not running for office.

It proves he's as cold-blooded as he always appeared to be.

6. Using a dead child,
particularly one who died a violent death under mysterious circumstances, as a campaign prop - is just sick beyond belief. But, really, is there any depth to which a repuke wouldn't go to win an election?

8. Gee, I thought they'd be too busy....
what with their joint efforts with OJ to hunt down the respective killers of their family members, to run for office....:eyes:

JonBenet, if your family is responsible for your death, I hope you can render some karmic justice... 'Seems we'll never get earthly justice for you...

9. Has Joe Scarbrough endorsed him yet?
They both have the history of "finding" dead people.

11. We want this guy to win
That would make the 105th a targeted race and draw much attention and buckets of resources to the north from the State machine.

It's a hard-fought primary there FYI. Lots and lots of $$ being spent by the R's. It's great. Our Dem there, Jim McKimmy, is a great guy. I'd love to see him win.
