Saboteurs Blow Up Iraqi Oil Pipeline, Halting Flow to Turkey

(AP) - Saboteurs blew up a giant oil pipeline in northern Iraq, halting oil exports to Turkey only days after they resumed and cutting off vital income for an economy in shambles. The new Iraqi police commander vowed on Saturday to pursue the "conspirators" behind the attack. Iraqi oil exports to Turkey had begun only on Wednesday, and the explosion early Friday near Baiji, 125 miles northeast of Baghdad, cut them off completely, acting Iraqi oil minister Thamer al-Ghadaban said in Baghdad.

3. There is no oil

flowing out of Iraq.

In fact the US is shipping gasoline IN to the country.

There was some oil in storage at the time of the invasion, but no pipelines are working.

probably here you would get the most recent mainstream news on the mosul/Haifa pipeline which was last updated in april. So it appears Maple is correct and oil has yet to flow.
