Northup Criticizes Kerry-Osama Bumper Stickers

<A Republican congresswoman is criticizing a bumper sticker associating John Kerry with Osama bin Laden.

It appeared last week in the window of a GOP office in her district.

Rep. Anne Northup, a long-time supporter of President George W. Bush, said Monday the bumper stickers that read "Kerry is bin Laden's Man, Bush is Mine" are inappropriate. She says they should not be distributed by Republican campaigns.

Jack Richardson IV is the Jefferson County Republican Party chairman who had defended the bumper sticker on Friday. He said it came from an unknown source, but that he supported its message of attacking Kerry's record on the war on terrorism.

Northup's opponent in the November election, Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk Tony Miller, held a news conference Saturday calling on Northup to oppose the bumper sticker.>

The statement tells Americans that Abu Hafs al-Masri supports the re-election of President George W. Bush.

"We are very keen that Bush does not lose the upcoming elections," it said.

Addressing Bush, it said: "We know that a heavyweight operation would destroy your government, and this is what we don't want. We are not going to find a bigger idiot than you." The statement said Abu Hafs al-Masri needs what it called Bush's "idiocy and religious fanaticism" because they would "wake up" the Islamic world. Comparing Bush with his Democratic challenger, Senator John Kerry, the statement tells the president, "Actually, there is no difference between you and Kerry, but Kerry will kill our community, while it is unaware, because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish infidelity and present it to the Arab and Islamic community as civilization."

Do note that this is the splinter group Abu Hafs al-Masri, which took "credit" for the Madrid train bombing, not al-Qaeda per se. Still, Bush* has racked up an endorsement from a fanatic Islamist terror group, while Kerry/Edwards has not.

I read an article that asked is Max Cleland doing more good now as a speaker for the Dems then he could have as Senator?

So many People mention how he as a triple amputee was made to look unpatriotic by the gop in Georgia. That's what Teresa Kerry has said that she changed parties because she was angry at the way the repugs treated Max.

6. Anne Northup Isn't All That Clean

She used her office several years ago to help her husband secure a multi-million dollar contract with Harley-Davidson and later claimed it was someone in her office that did it without "her" knowledge.

9. As a constituent, I can assert with confidence that there is no call

for approving of Northrup. She spent most of her news conference accusing her opponent of partisan politics. That is the laugh of the century coming from Anne Northrup. She is a Bush rubber stamp.
