Schwab CFO Sees Job Cuts After CEO Ouster

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Charles Schwab Corp. (SCH.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Chief Financial Officer Christopher Dodds said on Tuesday the discount brokerage would cut more jobs as it continues to restructure and said the ouster of Chief Executive David Pottruck would not fundamentally change the company's direction.

Speaking to analysts on a conference call, Dodds said more job cuts were expected, but he did not specify how many. Schwab has reduced its work force by some 10,000 jobs since it peaked at 26,300 at the end of 2000.
