Bush: 'I Want to Be the Peace President'
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Reuters) - After launching two wars, President Bush (news - web sites) said on Tuesday he wanted to be a "peace president" and took swipes at his Democratic rivals for being lawyers and weak on defense.

With polls showing public support for the war in Iraq (news - web sites) in decline, the Republican president cast himself as a reluctant warrior as he campaigned in the battleground state of Iowa against Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) and his running mate, former trial lawyer John Edwards (news - web sites). Bush lost the state in 2000 by only a few thousand votes.

"The enemy declared war on us," he told a re-election rally. "Nobody wants to be the war president. I want to be the peace president."

Bush has called himself a "war president" in leading the United States in a battle against terrorism brought about by the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on America.

Is anyone going to tell him that the correct phrase is "Wartime President"? I mean, "War President" is more accurate. . . but surely Karl must have noticed by now.

How about we make him the ex-pResident
Now he's not even campaigning on his past "accomplishments". Like 2 failing wars and a miserable economy, apallingly low re-enlisment rates for the Army and National Guard, billions in funds that cannot be accounted for, an outed CIA operative, and the worst terrorist attack in the history of America. Well, I guess that isn't much to run on then is it?

This sounds like an insecure junior high, wanna be "cool kid," bully:

"I am the war president. That sounds so cool. I can do whatever I want because I am the war President and I said so." OOPSie daisy, that's not so popular anymore, now that the Supreme Court smacked him down on his power grab and people have lost their appetite for a daily diet of death and destruction. Peace is the cool ticket now, so its, "Forget what I said before, I am the peace President got it?, and oh my opponents are baddie lawyers, nah nah nah nah." ^(*&^%*& sophmoric jerk.

Major league flip flop from a major league A-Hole.

Take a really close look at Bush. He looks like crap. I've NEVER seen him look this bad. Not even after his falls, his pretzel choking, the humiliation & embarrassments he's had to endure.

Now look at the small photo of him lamblasting into the microphone. Doesn't he look like a lunatic?

He is, by the way. Photos don't lie (unlike him)

71. Thank you. that's it.
Now take a close look. Notice the blood-shot eyes. The eyes looks a little glassy. This could either be from a) drinking or b) lack of sleep, which comes from worrying.

Look at the hand, which is involutarily wiping his brow. Either he's sweating, or he's worried. Notice the blank stare into space; almost cross-eyed.

Look at the wrinkles on his forehead, deeper grooves than ever. The hair is wiry, almost turned grey overnight. Very brillo-padish.

Now observe the neck. Look at all the loose skin, hanging over his shirt collar. Very wrinkled, very loose. The Old Boy is aging rapidly.

75. and the blotchy skin ...
When he's happy and confident, his cheeks color up and his skin tone appears more even. (And his nose, which I suspect goes red when he rubs it under stress, doesn't look as obvious.)

I guess this could also be due to being touched up by a makeup artist right before the appearance, though.

88. Truly a weak platform to run on.
Is this the neo-cons plan, play a narrow focus card and hope they win??? OR! They don't care how lame the little turd is, they have the election rigged. And they're laughing all the way to the banks and supreme courts. I saw Paul Bremmer doing a press conference in front of the European press back in the beginning. A journalist asked him what would happen to Iraq if Bush lost the election? Bremmer without hesitation said, "That won't happen, we don't see that happening." He didn't even flinch. It's all smoke screen, these treasonous thugs are sure of themselves. This administration has something up it's sleeve.

92. Hard to watch a junkie in withdrawal.
He's like a junkie who's almost at the end of his fix. He's coming to the end of the ride and he knows it, and he'll promise you the moon and the stars and a bag to put them in if you'll just hook him up with one more score. That's all he needs is one more, just one more, and he'll sober up. Just one more and he swears on his God that he's going straight after this one last hit. You want peace? He'll promise you peace. You want prosperity? On a silver platter. You want jobs? More than you could ever imagine. You want compassion? He'll be a great big fucking Care Bear. Just hook him up one more time. Just one more time, that's all, just one more time, okay? Don't make him beg, damn it, he just wants one more fucking hit. Just one more goddamn fucking hit. What's wrong with you, you heartless fucker? Can't you see he's getting the shakes? Just give him one more fucking hit!

*ahem*

It's sad to watch, really. And a bit scary. A junkie will do whatever he has to do to get what he needs. Lie, cheat, steal ...

... kill.

Addiction will do that to you.

101. Is that #$*#)($* bucking for a Nobel Peace Prize?
This guy has probably woken up from his three year drunk and pretzel fest to find being a warmonger is not all it's cracked up to be.

He thought he'd be a shoo-in for a Nobel Peace Prize -- recall his name has been nominated more than once in his administration. But cooler (and more intelligent) heads prevailed. There is certainly plenty of people who have done more for peace than * at any point in his deranged life. So now he wants to be known as a peace president, now that Iraq is showing signs of unraveling as the US handed over soverignty to them.

Sorry George. You ain't getting any peace prize, so fuggedaboutit and go suck eggs or something.
