Saudi Forces, Militants Engage in Gunfight
~snip~
A Washington-based Saudi opposition group said the militants were holding a number of hostages after the gunfight. In a report e-mailed to The Associated Press, the Saudi Institute said the gunfight began when police attempted to stop two cars carrying suspected terrorists. It quoted witnesses as saying the militants fired a rocket-propelled grenade, killing one officer and injuring four, before hiding in a house with captives.

A royal amnesty offered to militants last month expires Friday. King Fahd issued the amnesty offer after a series of suicide bombings, gunbattles and kidnappings blamed on al-Qaida members or sympathizers, saying his government would not seek the death penalty against militants who turned themselves in.

Four militants have surrendered to Saudi authorities.

At the same time, security forces have stepped up efforts to capture those who don't give up.

Watching CNN, and Nic Roberts reported that they may have killed the head of Al-Qaeda and have his wife in custody. Don't know what to make of it. Looks like everyone is on pins and needles prior to the release of the 9/11 report.

1. It's good to see Saudi Arabia crack down on these goons.
I wish they had started about five years ago.

3. You don't get it, do you?....
The Saudi Royal Family and the Saudi branch of Al Qaeda are two sides of the same coin.

Here's the deal...the so-called Al Qaeda terrorists being disposed of by the Saudi police force/military are thugs that have become expendable to impress the U. S. people that Saudi Arabia is doing their part in the "War on Terror".

Some more things to think about. There is a reason why:

* 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi nationals.

* None of the hijackers came from Iraq or Afghanistan.

* at least five of the hijackers attended U. S. military schools (Foreign Officers School in Montgomery, AL, Navy Flight School in Pensacola, FL, and the Monterey Language School in CA), which strongly implies that those five individuals were already officers in the Saudi military.

* Osama Bin Laden, another Saudi national, became a creature of the CIA during the Afghan-Soviet War.

* the Bin Laden family is very close to the Saudi Royal Family.

* the Bush family is very close to the Bin Laden Family.

* the Bush family is very close to the Saudi Royal Family.

* we're being told by the NeoCons, the Saudi Royal Family, and the Bin laden family that Osama Bin Laden has a bad relationship with his family.

Question: Where is Osama Bin Laden really hiding? Is he really hiding in some cave along the Afghan-Pakistan border? Or is he hiding in plain sight in Saudi Arabia among his most powerful and influential friends?

6. Al Qaeda HATES the Saudi Arabian government.
Have you noticed that bin Laden and his ilk do not even say the words "Saudi Arabia". They always say "Arabian Peninsula".

When the Saudi royals were too chummy with the bad guys it was foolish and wrong. They are turning around now because their regime and their lives depend on it.

Bin Laden is most likely in Pakistan or Afghanistan.

Question: Where was the king of Saudi Arabia on 2/14/45?

4. Saudi Royals a creation of ARAMCO.....
Ibn Saud took guns weapons from Brits in exchange for oil concessions. The "Kingdom" is less than 100 years old. It is rotten to the core! 4000 or so princes are gunning for the throne! The question today is "who is arming whom?" Expect more, and worse in the coming years!
