On Wednesday, a 1st Infantry Division soldier became the 900th U.S. military death in Iraq since the beginning of the war in March 2003. The soldier was killed by a roadside bomb while on patrol in a Bradley fighting vehicle in Duluiyah, 45 miles north of Baghdad.



Of course, the 900 doesn't include US civilians or mercenaries/corporate warriors who have died in Iraq.

And I think this number is alot less than the actual number of US Military deaths. Many that happen outside the battlefield due to related injuries have not been reported. Unfortunately I see this number going to 1000 well before the election......

It seems inevitable. 104 days to go, loosing a little more than 2 a day this month.

I sense that many war supporters still don't understand it's a war and not a movie or video game. Who knows, maybe some people who don't think too deeply will finally realize it's really a war once we lose an even 1000.

One things for sure: the first Democrat to mention "1000" and "Iraq" in the same sentence will be accused of "taking joy in the deaths of our troops" and "politicizing national security."

900 people have been erased from the face of the Earth so that a handful of old white men could make some MORE money.

If Bush wins, one can only guess as to how many will die in his invasion of Iran.

8. I think we're going to have a total news blackout

the closer we get to the reptillian convention next month, the less we're going to know just what in the hell is happening there. Also, I believe the military will be ordered to fort up, especially from the middle of the month on.
No patrols, that means that come September the iraqi reistance will have had time to prepare for the American military reemerging from it's shell, and the casualty rate will explode. That's just my thinking.
