Bush to reveal ROUGH 2nd term outline

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) opens another phase in his drive for re-election by delivering a rough outline Wednesday night of his agenda in what he expects will be a second term


"I am going to win," he told reporters in the Oval Office.


Bush has waited longer than his recent predecessors to say what he would do if re-elected. He wasn't offering specific, new policy initiatives at a fund-raiser expected to take in $23 million for congressional Republicans. Rather, he was providing "some of the broad themes" of how he would govern, said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.

AWOL won't be talking about cuts during the campaign but a second term means deep budget cuts - excluding defense contractors and the corporations that paid for the campaign. This is typical GOP modus operandi. Create defecits with massive tax cuts for the rich and corporations - then proclaim a "budget crises" and cut the hell out of programs for low and middle income citizens.
