Bush says ex Kerry advisor will be 'fully' probed by Justice Department

WASHINGTON (AFP) - President George W. Bush (news - web sites) said the Justice Department (news - web sites) would fully investigate a former aide to his White House rival, John Kerry (news - web sites), who illegally took classified documents from the US National Archives.

Bush's comments came a day after former national security adviser Sandy Berger admitted he had improperly removed classified documents from the National Archives before testifying in March to a commission probing the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Separately, Bush's reelection campaign said Democratic presidential candidate Kerry should come clean about whether he benefitted from the documents taken by Berger. The fallout forced Berger to step down Tuesday as a Kerry campaign adviser.

"This is a very serious matter that will be fully investigated by the Justice Department," Bush said.

1. Republicans are great at playing hard ball - we need to learn it
Once we take back the government, we need to destroy the Republican Party before they destroy us.

3. Bush is Toast... he wanted to be Head Coach and just look at the losing
record so far.

Lost every season he is in charge.

But now, he wants to play the good guy and go after Berger? How righteous of Bush, he of dirty hands and No Class.

5. Okay, who is playing politics with this now?
Bush is. He PERSONALLY said his DOJ would investigate.

Yep - he is diverting attention from his failings. That much is clear.

Man, he looks DESPERATE now. What the hell is going on with the poll numbers?

Kerry, let your campaign snipe at Bush all they want. You just concentrate on your POSITIVE vision for America. Edwards will do so tonight and so should you. Let Bush tie himself in knots. Act Presidential, baby. Act above the fray. Let Bush spiral down with his petty meaness ....

The wheels are coming off. Don't get in the way while your opponent shoots himself in the foot.

16. These documents were taken months ago?
When did Mr. Berger start working for Mr. Kerry? Was he even on the Kerry's payroll. I thought Mr. Berger was an un-official adviser?

10. PERFECT time for Kerry to pounce on the MONTHS that passed
before Bush acted on Plame...and PERFECT opportunity for Kerry to demonstrate that Bush acts in a POLITICAL manner with our security when OUTING a counter terrorism agent is MUCH more serious than a person who WROTE an advisory taking COPIES of them.

13. Does that mean Justice will finally agree to TALK to Berger?
His lawyer said they'd offered to be interviewed by the FBI, to no avail.

15. Oh yeah it's a fucking matter of treason, chimpscum
No wait-that would be everything you've let happen since you took office!

This is my I can't believe I'm more disgusted again post of the day!

IT always happens-something to make me dislike this pathetic excuse for a human being even more.

By the way, the documents were copies, copies, nothing was lost. Small detail our fucking worthless media never tells you.

Come clean! Oh how about a clock cleaning??

18. So how many documents is Bu$h hiding under "executive privilege"
right now?

And Cheney?

The US DOJ is only authorized to "probe" Democrats.

I really hope that Kerry and the upcoming Democratic Congress puts that POS and the rest of the neocons on trial after the inauguration.
