Moore to be in Boston for Democratic convention
BOSTON -- Filmmaker Michael Moore will be in town during next week's Democratic National Convention at the invitation of a group of black political leaders and a municipal employee's union, according to his Web site.

Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11," which is harshly critical of President Bush, has been hailed by Democrats, who say it raises important questions about the Bush administration. Republicans say the film is full of untruths and promotes baseless conspiracy theories.

Moore will be honored by the Congressional Black Caucus at a downtown Boston hotel on Monday afternoon.
...
On Tuesday afternoon, Moore will speak to group of activists in Cambridge, following an address by former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean.

3. I love the Congressional Black Caucus!!! Barbara Lee is my hero!
They are some of the greatest patriots in American history. They have more "balls" than most of the other Demos (except for Robert C. Byrd who's the "ballsiest"). Did anyone see Sheila Jackson Lee today defending our Constitution?

7. Barbara's my hero too.
I saw here at a anti-war demo in SF in the Fall of 2002; she got the loudest applause of all of the speakers.

I think that CBC politicians are defending the Constitution because its (13th, 14th and 15th Amendments) the only thing keeping them from slavery.

8. He'll be on Bill Maher's HBO show July 30th
but I don't know who the conservatives will be...Maher said last night on Larry King that conservatives are afraid of him. (Maher that is...but they fear Moore, also. Moore has very effectively shut down anyone who's been brave enough, or foolish enough, to take him on). I have to admit, I have mixed feelings. I usually feel sick after seeing Ann Coulter...but seeing Moore/Maher demolish her would be fun.

11. I can't wait for Moore on Maher!
I agree, seeing him shut down Coulter would be sweet.

I'd also love to see Randi Rhodes on Maher's show at some point. She's always armed and dangerous ... with the facts. ;-)

I'm so glad the Dems and the progressive Independents are pulling together. :7

But I must admit ... it does make me a little nervous that Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Bill Clinton, James Carville, Arianna Huffington, Randi Rhodes, Al Franken, Al Sharpton, Jon Stewart and all major Democrats, including John Kerry and John Edwards, will be in the same city at the same time. :scared: :tinfoilhat:

Oh, screw it ... no more fear!!!

edited ... typo :eyes:
