Edwards to attend San Antonio brunch
Associated Press
SAN ANTONIO - Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards will be in San Antonio on Sunday to attend a brunch aimed at raising money and Democratic spirits in President Bush's home state.
"It sends a message that they are not writing off the state of Texas," said Henry Munoz, a supporter of Edwards' running mate, presidential candidate John Kerry. "It's very cool."

Munoz said he expects several hundred people to attend Sunday's fund-raiser. Tickets for the brunch cost $1,000 for premium seating and $250 for preferred seating, down from an original starting price of $500.
"The price was set at $250 so that more people can participate," Munoz told the San Antonio Express-News for its Friday editions. Organizers said there are no preliminary fund-raising estimates available.
