No troops to Iraq, says Russia
Moscow, July 24. (PTI): Russia today said that it is ready to play its part in post-war reconstruction of Iraq, but will not send its troops for peacekeeping operations in the war-torn country.

Addressing a press conference here after his talks with his Iraqi counterpart, Hoshyar Mahmud Zebari, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, said Russia will not send troops to Iraq and this issue was not raised at the talks by the Iraqi side.

Earlier on his arrival in Moscow for a two-day visit, Zebari said Iraq would like Russian troops to take part in peacekeeping operations in his country

1. God help us from the "dealmakers"
Why do I have this feeling that the US State Department calls every country on the face of the earth, at least 20 times a day?

They put telemarketers to shame. Of course, they have no shame. I recall a while back RumsFatHead went to Bangla Desh to pimp for troops. They also said no. But you know - I bet he's calling them, just to be sure they still DON'T WANT TO.

I've read the same thing about India. They've been asked time and time again to contribute troops - can you imagine that? Hindus watching over muslims. How would that look in their own country, where they have a large population of muslims.

There is absolutely no end to their folly. The rest of the world has truly suffered under their "leadership".

2. And why should they help the US build 14 new bases in their back yard?
