1. That's not LBN.
LBN would be: No explosions in Baghdad. ;)

3. The Iraqi resistance movement will not let up until we leave.
Many more Americans will die needlessly.

5. Don't you mean...
..."anti-Iraqi forces"? Obviously you haven't gotten the new RW talking points memo. Not even permitted to call them "insurgents" anymore.

7. Saddam's People are Winning the War
Saddam's People are Winning the War
by Scott Ritter

(clip) “The truth is that there never was a significant people-based opposition movement inside Iraq for the Bush administration to call on to form a government to replace Saddam. It is why the United States has instead been forced to rely on the services of individuals tainted by their association with foreign intelligence services, or drawn from opposition parties heavily infiltrated by agents of Saddam's former security services.

(clip) Regardless of the number of troops the United States puts on the ground or how long they stay there, Allawi's government is doomed to fail. The more it fails, the more it will have to rely on the United States to prop it up. The more the United States props up Allawi, the more discredited he will become in the eyes of the Iraqi people - all of which creates yet more opportunities for the Iraqi resistance to exploit.

(clip) We will suffer a decade-long nightmare that will lead to the deaths of thousands more Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis. We will witness the creation of a viable and dangerous anti-American movement in Iraq that will one day watch as American troops unilaterally withdraw from Iraq every bit as ignominiously as Israel did from Lebanon.”

8. I didn't read it all
but I think * would "final solution" all the Iraqis in a second term rather than endure what Ritter is predicting.

And he would claim that God told him to do it, of course.

9. War forever and ever
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 06:48 AM by abb9
The way I see it, given the fact that the US plan the largest embassy in the world Iraq, means that we are never leaving there, because our presence will assure that resistance will keep on keeping on,and that means violence for eternity until we kill all Iraqis,or overwhelm the country with thousand and thousand of troops
and apply more extreme violence against the people, like Israel and the Palestinians,we will have to build a wall to try and keep the Iraqis that are trying to liberate their country from foreign occupiers.
I also hate to say this, but to me it looks like Kerry and most democrats intend in carrying out Bush's Imperial marchwe are going from Bush,to Bush Lite!!The language isn't that much different.
The arrogance and Colonial mentality rules.
One thing I would like to know is why they keep saying Coalition forces, when almost 100% of the killing and such is being carried out by US forces? I wonder how does Coalition fit into this.

11. No doubt the bu$h people would consider Pago Pago
a "coalition" partner, even though it's in American Samoa, a US territory.
