Bush Seen Projecting Record Deficit (REUTERS)
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House is expected to project soon a record federal budget deficit of about $420 billion for 2004, which could give ammunition to both sides of the election-year debate over tax and spending policies.

10. Bush will say
That "we" can't afford to have democrats in office because "we" don't have the money to give all those "crazy" spending projects that those democrats are always wanting to do.

Remember, they call us the "spend" party.

3. They showed how...
It's better than the projections. See, the economy is improving!

It's like if you make a two-week trip to Las Vegas and you were on pace to lose 100 grand. Then, on your last weekend, you hit a couple blackjacks and end up down only 95 grand.

Republicans would call that proof that they are excellent gramblers, because they didn't lose as much as they thought.

5. Not only proof that they're great gamblers, but that the taxpayers
should lend them another $200K as an "investment."

7. To both sides???
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 05:45 PM by VaLabor
Just smell the spin in that story! It reaks! Ammunition to both sides?

Let's see...

That would be Side A, represented by Bush, which favors cutting taxes for the wealthy while wasting billions on spending with fraudulent contracts with Administration friends and allies, like Halliburton -- all of which contributed to the record deficit.

And Side B, represented by Kerry, which favors targeted tax cuts and spending on infrastructure investment, like education and jobs training -- none of which contributed to the record deficit.

9. "The Iraq war has cost more than anticipated." Hello?
More than who anticipated? The Bu$h moran that gave the order to invade Iraq? Or the other republican morans that were on the media day after day telling us we were going to go up in a mushroom cloud if we did not invade Iraq?

Because it sure wasn't us.

13. Blame the Republicans..........
$420 Billion is the biggest one-year deficit in our nation's history.

Republicans have the majority in the House
Republicans have the majority in the Senate
Republicans control the White House

"Tax and spend" Democrats did not do this. This spending orgy was brought to you by REPUBLICANS. ..........NEVER EVER FORGET.
