"Some Republicans defect to Kerry's camp"
Wow! #2 story on Yahoo... this is the kind of advertising money just can't buy. It seems Bush has a "trust" problem, and that's something no amount of negative campaigning can fix. From now on, I think I'll tell everyone who'll listen that I USED to be a republican.

snip

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Ohio resident Bob Stewart says of President Bush (news - web sites): "He's been a world-class polarizer. I don't know if I can stomach four more years with him as president. He misled us into the war in Iraq (news - web sites) and has mismanaged everything since."

A raging Democrat? No, Stewart is a Republican, one of an unknown number of such voters who plan to back John Kerry (news - web sites), out of despair over the war in Iraq and disappointment over budget deficits and social policies.

2. if there's one thing Americans REALLY don't like . . .
it's being lied to by their elected leaders . . . the fact that Bush lied -- and went to war based on his lies -- is gradually sinking in, and people are angry . . . other than the diehard wacky righties, every vote is up for grabs this year . . . and Kerry will get the vast majority of them . . .

now if we could only be sure that the votes are counted the way they're cast . . .

3. Following MrsTH Kerry's speech
at the convention, Chris Jansen(MSNBC) did an intrview with a lady who was a top official in Republican Party in PA. This lady said clearly right on the air that she had endorsed Gov. Rendell(Dem) and
had joined the Democratic Party. The lady is a close friend of Mrs Kerry and was assuring people Mrs Kerry would do great as first lady.

6. new Democrat
That's Barbara Hafer, the elected state treasurer, whom I would have voted for as governor, had she not been shut out by the Republican good old boys from seeking the nomination. We used to have a lot of liberal Republicans in Pennsylvania.

4. I DO Love These Two !!!
<snip>

At the same market Ron King, a black Vietnam Veteran, said: "I always voted Republican before but I'm against Bush ever since I found out that he doesn't love this country. His so-called military record is a sham. And the worst part is that he lies so much. He lied about weapons of mass destruction."

Lloyd Huff, 64, retired director of the Dayton Research Institute in Ohio, says he has "voted for a Republican in every presidential election I can remember" but it will be Kerry this time because "the Bush administration has been the most deceitful, duplicitous, secretive administration this country has ever had."

"Going to war in Iraq was a horrible, horrible mistake," he said. He accused Bush of "an arrogant, swaggering cowboy mentality ... he has done more than anyone to inflame the Muslim world by his words and actions,"

<snip>

Welcome aboard fellow Americans!!!

:bounce::kick::bounce:

BTW - Don't forget to rate the story HIGH!!!

8. LOL !!! - I Think It's Bush And Gang Who's Gonna Be Gettin 'Audited'...
if they lose this election. Probably their biggest fear. That's why they are gonna do just about ANYTHING to keep their power, and their secrets.

The so-called liberal media convinced me that "supply side economics" might work. But I am good at math, and did some. Now I am a progressive Democrat!

9. Republicans for Kerry
At the Harrisburg (PA) Kerry rally last night, I had the volunteer job of "bus lady," directing the correct number of people onto shuttle buses from a distant parking lot, being hospitable and upbeat on the bus, telling them where to go when they got off the bus and where to gather to get the bus back to the parking lot. In my hostess duties, I was surprised to encounter lots of Republicans for Kerry who said they were fed up with Bush, citing the environment and the war. Good signs! I don't know of any Democrats for Bush.
