Marine’s ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’ comments investigated
Comments made by Marine Cpl. Abdul Henderson in Michael Moore’s controversial film “Fahrenheit 9/11” prompted the Marine’s commanders to look into the appropriateness of his film debut.

Henderson, a reservist with the 3rd Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company out of Long Beach, Calif., was featured, wearing his service dress Alpha uniform, alongside Moore outside the U.S. Capitol as the pair unsuccessfully solicited legislators to enlist their children into the U.S. military and to fight in the war in Iraq.

At one point, Moore asked the 29-year-old Marine, who served in Iraq last year, whether he’d return to the Middle East to fight again.

Moore: “If you get called up, will you go back to Iraq?”

Henderson: “No.”

Moore: “Why not?”

Henderson: “No.”

Moore: “What repercussions do you face if you don’t … .”

Henderson: “It’s possible jail time. That’s one possible thing.”

Moore: “Are you willing to risk that?”

Henderson: “Yes. Yes, I will not let my person … I will, I will not let anyone send me back over there to kill other poor people. Especially when they pose no threat to me and my country. I won’t do it.”

1. So let me see if I understand this . . .
In order to defend America, you have to give up your constitutional rights?

The young men and women who serve our country forfeit their first amendment rights?

4. Actually, yes, service members forfeit thier constitutional rights
and subject themselves to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
As defined in Article 15 even non-judicial punishment is OK.

But to balance this Military Justice is as blind as every other form of American Justice which enables eventslike the A-G torturings.

11. Sorry but could you elaborate at little.
I don't understand your point. Before and after the Iraq War began -ALL- soldiers, sailors, and airmen set aside their rights as citizens and made themselves subect to the UCMJ.

The structure of military law, not tyranny (and I accept that there may be tyranny in play), is the issue.

2. Courage, Conviction and Principle
This Marine is taking a stand and not backing down. He's not fleeing to Canada, or going into hiding. He's telling the government that he won't fight in it's illegal war and daring them to come and get him.

5. Yet the "Roof is on Fire" kid
is OK to be in the movie? They don't care about a Viking Berserker stating he likes to kill civilians when accompanied by loud music. Thats ok.
But a "spiritual Christian" father of a newborn baby has second thoughts about taking life, thats a concern?

They'd kill him for fun and to be rid of his stupid ass.

6. Officers can't criticize civilian leadership. Non-officers can
but are often intimidated against doing so, which is itself illegal.
