Same-sex marriage gains as Nov. issue |
|
The surprisingly large turnout backing a ban in Missouri may be good news for the Bush camp. One of three wedge issues that they repugs think will get the chimp elected. http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/9321926.htm

1. These "wedge issues" are being used to get GOPers to the polls... |
|
How many stories have we seen in recent weeks/months that show more and more dissatisfaction among Republicans with His Royal Flatulence. More moderate GOPers are seriously looking at John Kerry as presidential material while right-wing GOPers are thinking about staying home all together this November, completely disenchanted or disgusted with their God-chosen leader.
The call to "defend marriage" is a facade. I think Republican leaders have another reason to pursue this red-hot wedge issue. If the GOP "base" (read: homophobes), who would rather have stayed home then vote for Bush, can be brought out in large numbers this election to defend marriage, they just might go ahead put an "x" next to Bush's name while they're in the polling booth.
