Big layoffs coming (280 jobs - Louisiana)

BOGALUSA n The nearly 300 local employees of ClientLogic have received notice that they could very possibly be laid off between now and October.

ClientLogic spokesman Amit Shankardass said yesterday that the impending lay- offs are "driven" by the departure of the only client company currently doing business with the Bogalusa facility. ClientLogic policy does not allow the naming of that company.

"We have approximately 280 associates currently in Bogalusa," said Shank-ardass. "This unfortunate situation will possibly impact all of them."

He said ClientLogic has been happy with the quality of local
employees.

1. And Cartersville, GA loses 350.
"After 45 years of making plastic bags for sandwiches, frozen food and trash, the Glad Manufacturing plant in Cartersville will close its doors, cutting 350 jobs."
