Laura Bush touts president's tax relief plans in Toledo
Associated Press (OMG Laura's off the porch)

First lady Laura Bush told women business owners Monday that her husband's plan to make tax cuts permanent will help their companies and the economy.

She said President Bush believes everyone should have an equal opportunity to succeed because "he has three strong women at home who don't let him forget it."

She intertwined praise of his economic policy while also telling the crowd of about 200 that the president understands what matters to women. ..

Bush wants the tax cuts that are scheduled to expire at the end of this year to stay in place for five more years. But some in Congress, including a few Republicans, are worried about record budget deficits.

11. Those 230,000 Ohioans who have lost their jobs
don't get those tax cuts, do they? Just those 200 business owners --it figures.

And where were those three strong women when Shrub signed the bill banning late-term abortions? There wasn't a womb in the house.

I just returned from an "Ohio Women for Kerry" meeting; we're working as hard as we can to get those crooks out of our White House.

6. So Ms. Apolitical Dedicated Librarian is holding forth?
I'm sorry, but I have begun to DESPISE that woman. I was willing to cut her a lot of slack because I thought she didn't know what she signed on for and that perhaps she was just a girl who never grew up.

But she's a big enough girl to know what the words "regressive taxation" mean. And she has no excuse for putting forth the fairy tale that the tax cuts the Bush administration has put forth (i.e., elimination of the estate tax; lower taxes on dividends, etc.) are goiong to help average Janes and Joes. No, Laura, they're going to put us in the freakin' hole for the foreseeable future, and they're going to mean massive cuts in programs that assist the poor, the sick, the elderly, children, and veterans.

Meanwhile, we're all supposed to invest enough so that we can retire comfortably. And while we struggle to pay our mortgages now and check the kiddies' homework, we're supposed to freakin' join the "Armies of Compassion" and volunteer X number of hours a week to make up for all the cuts in social programs.

(Sarcasm alert) Ooh, that should work BEAUTIFULLY.

Laura, go back to Texas, and take that horrific primate with you.

7. Laura is fair game
the "First Mother" of our country assisted in pushing 935 of other American mother's children off a cliff to their deaths in Iraq. Walter Reed is just down the road from the White House, five minutes away. How much time has the First Witch spent there consoling families?
