An extramarital affair admitted by a county prosecutor who serves as a regional campaign chairman for President Bush is a liability for Bush's re- election bid in this battleground state, political analysts said Thursday. ,,

Rebecca L. Collins' lawsuit in U.S. District Court says Allen repeatedly used his authority as her boss to get sexual favors from her from 1999 into the beginning of this year. She requests unspecified money damages from him and the county's board of commissioners. ..

Allen, saying he feared that a lawsuit was coming, called a news conference Wednesday to confess the affair. He said it was consensual and ended a year ago, and that he would continue as county prosecutor. He is married to a Hamilton County judge and they have two children.

Bush campaign spokesman Kevin Madden said the campaign would not comment on Allen, who also supported Bush in 2000. ..
