Explosions rock militant stronghold of Fallujah

FALLUJAH, Iraq (AP) Explosions rocked the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Fallujah early Wednesday, killing two people, hospital officials and witnesses said.

Witnesses said U.S. warplanes swooped low over city several times before dawn and again hours later.

The U.S. military had no immediate comment.

Iyad Muhsin of the Fallujah General Hospital said two Iraqis were killed in the blasts. He had no immediate reports of any injuries.

while saying many "militants" were killed! I hate the US media...

3. What exactly is a stronghold?

So now the entire city is a "militant stronghold"? That would lead one to conclude that (a) the entire city is fortified against attack, and (b) most if not all of its occupants are militants. Where's the evidence for those conclusions?

4. Will we ever learn that violence begets more violence?

It seems that when you have the most dangerous, sophisticated weapons at your fingertips, all reason and sound thinking evaporates. You begin to think and act like bullies and terrorists and when this behavior results in the creation of terrorists with no matching weapons, who are not afraid to die, you scream and paint those who stand up against your weapons as the most terrible and evil people on earth. Such is the case with the US, Israel, and Russia. They have created these monsters, the monsters begin to eat them alive, and they shout, "Bad, bad monster!"
