Edwards Addresses Black Caucus in D.C.
WASHINGTON - The nation has faced innumerable challenges in its history — social, medical and political — but the American spirit always bounces back, Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) said Saturday.

"If we put a man on the moon, if we conquered diseases like polio, if we can live through a terrible day like Sept. 11th, then we can build the Lord's house in every heart and home across this land," Edwards said during the annual prayer breakfast of the Congressional Black Caucus (news - web sites).
.....
The two-hour breakfast kept a religious tone but found a few moments for politics.

"We are not heard from in any minority. One party ignores us, the other takes us for granted, but we ain't going down like that," Walter Scott Thomas, a Baltimore pastor, said during his sermon.

1. Did Bush make an appearance?

He should surely have been there because he "wants our votes and it is a PRAYER event.

Since he thinks he is God he should be there.

4. I love the Boondocks so much
just had to say that first.

But yeah, I'm sure Bush thinks the CBC would be too "hostile" for him. Poor baby.

5. I read that Gore asked the Senators
Not to protest for him. I don't know if that's true or not. But if it is then Gore needs to make amends with them, too.

6. This country was built upon "diversity".
Those who have imposed adversity,...have proven that "diversity" strengthens humanity. Those who continue to impose adversity and division prove themselves to be destructive to humanity.

I am so tired of self-serving adversaries against the best of humanity.

I am not alone.
