Sen. Clinton Tells AP 'We Feel Blessed'
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday "we feel blessed" former President Clinton's artery blockage was discovered in time for him to have successful heart bypass surgery.

"The relief is just overwhelming," she said. The former first lady said her husband is "really doing well."

In her first extensive interview since the medical crisis began almost two weeks ago, Clinton told The Associated Press the former president is "following the orders of doctors, nurses and everyone else who told him what he should do to begin slowly gaining his strength back."

Clinton said she and daughter Chelsea are taking turns watching over his recovery "to make sure he just continues to take it easy." She said the recovery should take from six to eight weeks.

1. We are blessed.
Thank God for Bill and Hillary, and thank god that Bill will be around for awhile longer.

4. Oh it's wonderful to read GOOD news.
I bet they end up tying him down to get him to rest. I can't see Big Dawg sitting still for any length of time. lol.

So glad to hear he's doing well and on the mend. :)

8. Well, she tried to help everybody get healthcare.
But the forces against her & Bill were too strong.

9. You got that right.
The Big Dog would be welcomed around the world (unlike someone else I could name, he of the screened crowds and loyalty oaths)and would be about the business of, as Harry Truman would say, kissing and kicking people to do what they are supposed to do anyway. He wouldn't have put the Middle East peace process or nuclear nonproliferation on the back burner, like someone I could name.

Get well, Big Dog. We want you back.
