VIENNA, Sept 14

Two men arrested in South Africa in connection with a probe of Germans and South Africans believed to be involved in a Pakistani-run black market that supplied nuclear technology to Libya, Iran and North Korea appeared in court on Tuesday.

"There's a lot of information that could have an impact on both our understanding of the Iranian programme and the Libyan programme," he told reporters on the sidelines of an IAEA board meeting.

Iran's enrichment programme was built with the help of Abdul Qadeer Khan, the father of Pakistan's nuclear bomb and the head of a black market that included more than 20 countries.

"We were ready with an application when the state provided us with a bundle of documents in support of their opposition to bail," lawyer Claudia Privato said.
