'Clintonistas' rally behind Kerry's presidential bid
WEST PALM BEACH, United States (AFP) - Democratic Senator John Kerry (news - web sites)'s White House bid has become more combative, more open to reporters and delivered a more focused message recently which observers have attributed to the influence of former Bill Clinton (news - web sites) administration staffers.

Under advice from the 'Clintonistas', according to US media reports, the veteran Massachusetts senator's campaign has clicked into a higher gear just 41 days before Amercians go to the polls on November 2.

The Democratic presidential hopeful interrupted his campaigning across Florida on Tuesday to hold a press conference, his first in more than seven weeks, at which he lambasted President George W. Bush (news - web sites)'s credibility over Iraq (news - web sites).

.....

Under the guidance of former Clinton era White House spokesman Joe Lockhart, and other former high-powered 'Clintonistas' including James Carville, Paul Begala, Doug Sosnik and Stanley Greenberg, the Democratic candidate has become more combative and less nuanced.

2. The only unpleasant aspect to this new Clinton infusion

is that my right wing step-brother has been telling me for months that Clinton is going to run and/or ruin this election for Kerry. I kept asking him why he was so fixated on Clinton? Told him to forget about Clinton.

Oops. I might get a "told ya so" e-mail soon. If he's still talking to me. This has been an ugly fight. Clinton, unfortunetaly turns a lot of people off. I like him more now than when he was president. Personally though, I wish Kerry could have started taking the lead without the upfront help of Clinton. Clinton behind the scenes, firing up the base would have been perfect. Now, I don't know what might happen.

Kerry will win easily in voter intent!! That's my mantra and I'm sticking to it. My fingers are still crossed on that being enough to win the election.

Kerry sure has been looking good lately. uh huh!

4. Neither do I. The media
always has to make up some catchy term. If it's not a "gate" it's an "ista".

at the WPB town Hall meeting.I gotta tell ya that the older dem women still look hippie foxy if you know what I mean. You can tell there were a lotta hotties when they were younger. All shallowness aside,Kerry had a cold and as he said had to "speak softly and carry a big stick".We have a great democartic party here in PB county,Wexler,Aaronson,Ron Klein,David Aronberg,Susan Bucher(excuse the spelling)and Lois Frankel WPB Mayor.

11. Not just Clinton people
Campaigns that are well ahead in their races are loaning out their campaign people to work for Kerry in battleground states. Most Dem incumbents are sitting on safe leads in Illinois, so their people are in Wisconsin and Iowa and Ohio more than they are home.
