Flu (Vaccine) Scammers Prey on Seniors in Virginia

WASHINGTON - With the flu vaccine in short supply, scammers are preying on senior citizens, and medical distributors are charging outrageous prices for the vaccine they do have.

WTOP has learned that the Virginia Department of Health has turned two such cases over to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In one case reported to the health department in Richmond, Va., a group of senior citizens received shots from vans parked in parking lots.

Reports of price gouging

Not long after news of the flu vaccine shortage surfaces, so did reports of price gouging. If you've heard or experienced this, the Centers for Disease Control wants to know about it.

It says to collect as much information as you possibly can including; the name and phone number of whoever's inflating the prices. Officials also want to know "how" it's being sold. For example, a ten-dose vial and the price being asked.

and that speech from the Chimp last night about it was pretty disgusting. His answer, I don't need one (and neither do you). Forced smile, twitch, nod. I think it's just another scam and that they do have vaccine or it was contaminated on purpose. No one seems to be upset with England and Tony B about it, but can you imangine what the spin would be if it had come from France!?
