Militants ready for onslaught on Fallujah
I excerpted a couple interesting bits from the end.

At dawn yesterday, the Americans launched further air strikes targeting strongholds of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Islamic terrorist held responsible for the beheading of western hostages, including the Briton Kenneth Bigley.

A senior Pentagon official said that there was no plan to enter Fallujah and take back the city during the holy month of Ramadan, which began on Friday. Instead the military is determined to isolate Zarqawi and severely limit his operations.

An attack will be postponed until December, but imposing a cordon around the city will tie down 2,000 crack Marine and Army troops.

Meanwhile, a UN audit of spending by the American administration in Iraq, leaked overnight in Washington, revealed that half the £3.2 billion spent in the first half of this year could not be accounted for, including one payment of £800 million into a Kurdish bank account.

so they don`t attack the Iraqi`s in the north. that also buys the peace between the Kurds and turks for now...but what will the Kurds buy with all that money...hmmmm...military equipment from Israel? and what will they do with that??? protect the oil fields we will give them and deter the turks from attacking northern Iraq?

2. And where did that money go from there?
Since Sept. 10 2001, there have been some funny financial transactions going on, including one that took place in Afghanistan, involving UNMIK(google it), their police force and a huge amount of cash, at a base with a helicopter landing area excavated into the side of a mountain. Word up. Trouble is, one guy who could confirm this, one Todd Engstrom, recently bought the dirt nap in iraq, while in the recent employ of Blackwater.

Where is all this money going? Who is profiting from our tax dollars? Why?

3. Boy, these wars sure are making someone or multiple someones a
hell of a lot of money. Let's see, who could possibly be selling a particular service or certain goods (like weaponry) to some people in some very unstable occupations, like maybe pretending to be leaders of certain countries. Could that be where some of the money is going? Or maybe these guys in their risky occupations are setting up savings accounts in the event they have to vamoose all of a sudden. Just guessing.

We need someone in the know, someone who is into big finance, to follow the money trail. Cash in those kinds of amounts have to be leaving a trail somewhere.

Maybe some nice big Swiss bank accounts?

4. One thing we should all demand from Kerry after he's inaugurated:

We must demand that full investigations be conducted into not just where that money went, but a full accounting of just who was involved in the false intelligence the bush bastard used to take us to war.

I believe that they could be indicted for what they did. Don't know what the charges should be, but surely there are many that would apply.

I want to see the entire administration in handcuffs. What they have done to the country and the world amounts to treason in my world.

5. hurry up and wait....

<Abdullah Janabi, one of the leaders of the rebel Shura or Islamic council that controls the city, said that negotiations had collapsed completely over demands that foreign militants be expelled from the city before Iraqi troops enter.

He warned that a fiery welcome was being prepared for any "invaders". "Those who invade the city of mosques will be entering their last days," he said. "We will all give our blood to defend this place from the infidel.">

.....This is why they won't enter before the election. An awful lot of US blood will spill and that might hurt chmpy*. I wonder how those troops feel about running a war around an election?

6. So they're just going to bombard "insurgent positions"?
Isn't that what they've been doing since at least late August?

7. Falluja clerics call for civil disobedience or JIHAD if they are attacked.
Falluja clerics call for civil disobedience

The statement added that, should the government not heed the appeal, then a call would be made for jihad and a general mobilisation of fighters would begin. Tens of Iraqis have been killed in missile attacks on Falluja.

UK troop redeployment

There has been no official word
regarding British troops in Baghdad
British troops serving in the south of the country could soon be heading to Baghdad to cover for US soldiers battling anti-American forces in Falluja and elsewhere in Iraq.

8. Falluja will be saved in the same way we "saved" villages in Vietnam
Destroyed. We must destroy it to save it. It will be destroyed so Halliburton can rebuild it into a shining city of democracy for all to behold. Iran probably has a few cities that need Halliburton to "save" them also. Our Army has not yet begun to fight. The world is beckoning. Come "save" us they are saying. I can hear North Korea all the way from here.
