Baghdad car bomb kills Iraqi police

A powerful explosion has killed seven Iraqi police force members in the al-Jadrya neighbourhood, west of Baghdad.

Aljazeera reported the explosion near the al-Karama hotel is believed have been caused by a booby-trapped car parked next to a restaurant where members of the Iraqi police force were dining.

Aljazeera has also learned that a US drone (pilot-less reconnaissance plane) has been shot down in the southeastern district of al-Shuhada in Falluja.

Elsewhere in the capital, an unknown group blew up a new building set to be inaugurated within two days to house Iraqi National Guard in the Syadiya district.

CHIMO is derived from the Inuktitut language. According to folklore, when two people met on the Arctic tundra, they rubbed their chests in a circular motion and said, "Chimo" , meaning "Are you friendly?" The answer was a repeat of the gesture and the word "Chimo!" ("Yes, I am friendly!)
