High court passes on abortion-cancer case

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court declined Monday to resurrect a lawsuit by three California women who say Planned Parenthood withholds information linking abortions to breast cancer.

The court, without comment, let stand a decision by the California Supreme Court dismissing the suit and ordering the women to pay more than $77,000 in attorneys' fees.

The lawsuit charged that Planned Parenthood clinics repeatedly dismissed research suggesting links between abortions and breast cancer. It asked a judge to order the clinics to provide the information during counseling.

Planned Parenthood has called the lawsuit frivolous and a scare tactic by anti-abortion groups.

1. There's data linking aluminum to breast cancer, too.
Not to mention to alzheimers. Where's their lawsuit against "Big Soda" and "Big Deoderant"?

2. After Bush was elected
they changed information on a government website from saying there was no link between abortion and breast cancer to saying (the last time I looked) that information was inconclusive. These people are despicable.

3. Breast Cancer's often genetic, so why aren't they suing their MOMS? Hmm?
I'm so sick of everything being about the fucking BAAAAAAY-bies.

Besides, that study has been discredited... my OB/GYN and I had this discussion the last time we had a talk about the fact that I won't be spawning. My risk of breast and cervical cancer is lower than the average because I'm not breeding, but my risk of ovarian cancer is higher.

There are some other disease issues that women have to deal with if they don't spawn, but most can be mitigated by diet and exercise. And there are too many benefits to not spawning, like a lower incidence of osteoporosis in later life.

If junk science works for George Walker Bush as he stomps across the stage of America eradicating EPA regs, OSHA regs, Labor regs, stem cell research, etc., etc., etc. . . . then why can't some idiots also use junk science to toss out Roe v. Wade????? geez.

And these women who filed this junk science lawsuit hafta pay the attorneys' fees of Planned Parenthood? holy crapola!

Where's the outrage? LOL

6. There is no link between breast cancer and abortion.
These idiots will say anything to stop abortion.

They try to say there is a link between abortion and depression, too. It is just the opposite.

Junk science, indeed.

10. If you go to the Planned Parenthood website, and look for
info about breast cancer/depression and abortion, they will link you to all kinds of studies that say just the opposite. BTW, none of them are affiliated with Planed Parenthood.

The American Cancer Society, NIH, WHO and others say that they consider the studies linking breast cancer and abortion inconclusive or flawed. They have never even heard of some of the groups who have done the research.

I think that would be like picking a doctor to treat your life-threatening illness who is not recognized by the American Cancer Society, NIH, and WHO.
