Cheney: Terrorists May Bomb U.S. Cities
quote--------
CARROLL, Ohio - Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) on Tuesday raised the possibility of terrorists bombing U.S. cities with nuclear weapons and questioned whether Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) could combat such an "ultimate threat ... you've got to get your mind around."

"The biggest threat we face now as a nation is the possibility of terrorists ending up in the middle of one of our cities with deadlier weapons than have ever before been used against us — biological agents or a nuclear weapon or a chemical weapon of some kind to be able to threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans," Cheney said.

-----end quote.....
this man is truly crazy!

2. They are sounding so desperate
By next week, they will be telling us that the terrorists may plant a nuke in each of our basements, or under the hood of our cars.

That's all they have---fear.

3. Beyond the fear card...
...just how have Cheney and his VP, Furious George, protected us against this?

Secured our ports as they should be?
Helped secure nuclear compenents internationally?

They continue to fan the flames of terrorism seemingly without a clue to the long term consequences. They are failing to take the steps needed to guard against the horror they use to prop up their failed administration.

4. Cheney Vows to Attack U.S. If Kerry Elected (The Onion)

GREENSBORO, NC—In an announcement that has alarmed voters across the nation, Vice President Dick Cheney said Monday that he will personally attack the U.S. if Sen. John Kerry wins the next election.

"If the wrong man is elected in November, the nation will come under a devastating armed attack of an unimaginable magnitude, one planned and executed by none other than myself," Cheney said, speaking at a rally in Greensboro, NC. "When they go to the polls, Americans must weigh this fact and decide if our nation can ignore such a grave threat."

Added Cheney: "It would be a tragedy to suffer another attack on American soil, let alone one perpetrated by an enemy as well-organized and well-equipped as I am. My colleagues and I urge voters to keep their safety in mind when they go to the polls."

Why not just come out and say something like that, dick?

I am reminded of Ann Coulter's threat "Liberals must be taught that they can die too." (Something like that)

56. I can't forget.
I was one of the many people who believed the administration back then (I hadn't found DU yet) and I had tons of it and about 60 gallons of water stashed in the cellar, etc. I feel pretty dumb now, but back then I thought I was prepared for 'the big one'. My husband told me all along I was nuts and that a terrorist attack isn't going to be thwarted by duct tape and plastic.

9. hmm. why now?
I wonder why he'd mention this again now. It's not like the media doesn't hype the possibility of another attack all the time already.

Well, at least one good thing about an "ultimate threat" is that it is the last or greatest threat, so at that point it can't get any worse, but I'm sure Mr.Vader will find a way.

<sarcasm>Oh, and remember, Democrats will ban the Bible, so vote for Bush if you want a terror-preventing, war-promoting, Bible-thumper, or vote for Kerry if ... nevermind, don't vote for Kerry. He's not a good man, plus FRANCE supports him! I'll bet he even eats those fancy schmancy "french fries" as they call them there.
</sarcasm>

Loved the Onion article!

43. Media hyping the possibility of another attack you say? Hmmm,
LOOKIE HERE -----> Online nuclear plans spark terror fears

It's on the front page of CNN! Surprise! :bounce:

Once inside, you find out:

~~snip~~

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- When David Lochbaum perused a government Web site one day last summer, he came across documents he thought would be of limited value to the public -- but a potential bonanza for terrorists."

LAST SUMMER? LAST SUMMER? But they are bring it up TWO WEEKS before the ELECTION?

I sent them a nice email thanking them for the 'Bush push.' Wanted to know why they were bringing it up NOW. hahaha.
Also told them the only thing half the United States is afraid of is Bush. If you want to read more of this lovely fairy tale, the link is below. Don't forget to wrap yourself in plastic and duct tape before clicking on link.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/10/19/terror.nrc/index.html

Oh, I forgot one last thing.

Hey Cheney, you old fart. I'm painting a target on my head. I want to make sure those bombs get me good. I'm SOOOOOO scared! :puke:

Through unfunded federal mandates like No Child Left Behind, through cutbacks in federal housing and mass transit subsidies and school lunch programs, and so on. It's no secret that they wish big cities would go to hell, so they're doing their best to starve them and let them die of neglect. That's why * and Osama help each other out, the latter out of pure hatred and the former out of boundless greed and indifference to non-elites.

58. Add your talking points if anything (even a threat) happens:
1) This is the SECOND terrorist attack on Bush's watch.

2) Bush's Homeland Security efforts of 3 years have been inadequate.

3) "Wag the Dog" timing, anyone?

4) Taking it to them over there didn't prevent terrorism here.

I'd be surprised if anything happens now, but my tinfoil's shivering about the time between the election of Kerry and the inauguration. I can see them saying, "See, you elected Kerry and got hit." I can also imagine a lot of talk in the next two weeks about thwarted threats (say that 10 times fast).

TERRORIST!

dictionary definition of terrorism

NOUN:

The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

These scary terror warnings are themselves acts of terrorism. That makes Bush and Cheney the damn terrorists!
